Hey,
My name is Grey Anderson, and I’m a first-year student at the University of Nevada, Reno. Since arriving on campus, I’ve become involved with the Honors College, Associated Students of the University of Nevada, and Undergraduate Research. As an intern at the City of Reno City Manager’s Office, I’ve supported the Mayor, City Councilmembers, and City staff to support the local community, provide a public forum, and sustain the economic development that has contributed to Reno’s rapid growth. After graduation, I plan to work towards my Master’s in Public Policy and Ph.D. in International Relations. I am a fierce advocate for refugee rights and protections, and I aspire to contribute to the global community through IGO work and professorship.
In my spare time, I love to travel, listen to new music, and read a good book! So far, I’ve been to countries like Ireland, Costa Rica, Jamaica, and Spain. My favorite music genres right now are Alternative, Indie, and R&B, and I’m currently reading “How Elites Ate the Social Justice Movement” By Fredrik deBoer; highly recommend!
